How does it become soil so quickly?

Chewie is not a dehydrator. Its ControlAI continuosly manages temperature, moisture, airflow, and mixing to keep beneficial microbes in their sweet spot, enabling rapid, odour-free bioconversion into Regen Soil (not dried scraps). Typical thermophilic composting works fastest around ~55-65°C with adequate oxygen and moisture; Chewie automates those conditions.

What comes out- and why call it "Regen Soil"?

A consistent, stabilized recycled soil. “Compost” varies widely with feedstock and process; “Regen Soil” signals Chewie’s controlled, repeatable output you can use for plants and gardens.

What exactly does Chewie control inside the digestion chamber?

• Temperature: Holds the thermophilic “sweet spot” (~60–65 °C) for accelerated breakdown and hygiene.

• Oxygen: Maintains aerobic conditions to avoid odours and keep microbes active.

• Moisture: Manages to a mid-range optimal band for fast microbial activity.

• Mixing & Aeration: Orchestrates the mesophilic → thermophilic → stabilization phases for consistency. (These levers; temperature, oxygen, moisture, residence time, are the classical drivers of composting quality.)

Will it smell or attract pests?

No. Chewie maintains sealed, in-vessel aerobic conditions with active ventilation and an OdourShield. Odors typically come from anaerobic imbalance; Chewie prevents that by keeping oxygen and moisture in range.

Where does the AI work?

• Vision AI: Recognizes inputs (veg, curries, oily foods, fish/ bones), flags what shouldn't go in, and auto-balances the carbon mix- no layering or stirring.

• Control AI: Regulates temperature (~60-65°C), oxygen (kept in a healthy aerobic range), and moisture (kept in the optimal band), guiding the mesophilic → thermophilic → stabilization phases. (For context: composting stays aerobic when oxygen is generally kept above ~10%, and moisture is typically optimal around 40–60%.)

What is Chewie?

Chewie is an AI-powered, under-counter kitchen appliance that automates wet waste management. It converts mixed kitchen waste into stabilized Regen Soil in 8-40 hours; no manual stirring, no odor, no pests.

What can I put in?

Most kitchen organics, including cooked food and (smaller) bones. Avoid mutton bones and larger, coconut shells and hard seeds (mango seed, etc.). Vision AI helps flag unsuitable items like metals, glass, plastics, or any non-organics.

How is this better than backyard composting?

Chewie’s controlled, in-vessel process (with our enzyme additive packs) delivers a uniform, odour-free, biologically stable output, faster and more consistent for mixed Indian kitchen waste.

Is Chewie a dehydrator or "burning machine"?

No. Dehydrators dry or char scraps; their powder often smells again when re-wetted because it isn't biologically stabilized. Chewie runs aerobic, in vessel composting with active process control to produce a stable, ready- to-use soil.

Can Chewie's Regen Soil be better than typical backyard compost?

When you feed good-quality organics and let Chewie run its controlled cycle (with our Regen Soil additive kit containing amylases, proteases, lipases, etc.), you get a consistent, odour-free, stable, easy-to-handle soil amendment.

What capacity does it handle?

How does Chewie prevent smell and pests during processing?

By staying aerobic and in-vessel, with automated aeration and our C:N calibration system. (In proper composting, heat is microbe-generated and aeration carries off moisture as vapor- no charring required.)
